Innovation in Motion: SilverMOVE Selected Through CABHI Discover + Adopt

The Brenda Strafford Foundation (BSF), with support from CLIQ, has selected SilverMOVE as its innovation of choice through the Centre for Aging + Brain Health Innovation (CABHI) Discover + Adopt program.

The CABHI Discover + Adopt program supports healthcare and community care organizations in identifying, testing, and implementing promising innovations that can improve care and outcomes for older adults. By bridging the gap between emerging solutions and practical, real-world application in care settings, the program continues to play an important role in advancing the uptake of innovative solutions across the aging and brain health sector. Through this work, it supports organizations in integrating new approaches into everyday care practice.

SilverMOVE, developed by Motive Force, is a compact virtual reality (VR)-based exercise system that promotes movement, mobility, and engagement through immersive and accessible activity experiences. Motive Force is a Canadian company focused on creating technology-enabled solutions that support rehabilitation, movement, and wellbeing, particularly through innovative digital tools that make physical activity more engaging and accessible. By combining gentle physical activity with interactive virtual environments, it offers an engaging way to support both physical wellbeing and participation for older adults in care settings.

BSF’s selection of SilverMOVE reflects its ongoing commitment to exploring and adopting practical, evidence-informed innovations that enhance quality of life, independence, and meaningful engagement for older adults. It aligns with a broader focus on using innovation to support healthier, more connected aging experiences.

Further updates will be shared as implementation progresses and early learnings from SilverMOVE are gathered.
